Renewing Mindsets: The Quest for Mental Wellness Beyond In-Network Providers in Philadelphia

Comprehensive ADHD testing and diagnosis from experienced psychiatrists in Philadelphia. Get help for real relief from ADHD struggles.

In the pursuit of mental wellness, many individuals are faced with the crucial decision of choosing between waiting for an in-network psychiatric provider or exploring the possibilities of an out-of-network professional. This blog aims to shed light on the importance of renewing mindsets when it comes to mental health care, advocating for a personalized approach that may involve seeking the services of an out-of-network provider.

1. Embracing Flexibility and Choice:

In the realm of mental health, one size does not fit all. When considering an out-of-network provider, individuals gain the flexibility to choose a professional whose expertise, style, and approach resonate with their unique needs. This freedom to tailor the therapeutic experience can significantly impact the overall effectiveness of the treatment.

2. Breaking Free from Waiting Games:

Mental health concerns often demand prompt attention. Waiting for an in-network provider can sometimes mean enduring prolonged periods of uncertainty. Choosing an out-of-network provider offers a way to break free from these waiting games, providing an expedited path to evaluation and potential relief.

3. The Expertise Quest:

Out-of-network providers often bring specialized expertise and niche experience to the table. Whether you're seeking a specific therapeutic approach or require a professional with unique qualifications, opting for an out-of-network provider allows you to broaden your options and select a mental health professional who resonates with your journey.

4. Telehealth Revolution:

The rise of telehealth has revolutionized mental health care accessibility. Choosing an out-of-network provider doesn't necessarily mean compromising on convenience. Virtual evaluations offer the freedom to connect with professionals beyond geographical constraints, presenting an opportunity to renew mindsets and explore diverse options.

5. Financial Considerations and Insurance Insights:

While financial concerns may initially deter individuals from considering out-of-network providers, it's essential to explore insurance coverage and potential reimbursement options. Some plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network services, making the financial aspect more manageable than perceived.

6. Empowering the Mind:

Renewing mindsets in mental health care involves empowering individuals to take charge of their wellness journey. By considering out-of-network providers, individuals become active participants in their treatment, making choices that align with their preferences and immediate needs. Visit Us at Renewing Mindsets to schedule an appointment today.

As we navigate the complexities of mental health care, it's crucial to foster a mindset of renewal and empowerment. Choosing an out-of-network provider is not just a decision; it's a declaration of one's commitment to personalized care, timely interventions, and the pursuit of mental wellness on one's own terms. By renewing mindsets, we pave the way for a more inclusive, flexible, and empowering approach to mental health, ultimately redefining the narrative of seeking help beyond the constraints of in-network limitations.

  • What is the soonest that I can be seen?
The fastest way to be seen is through a virtual session, which we can typically schedule within 1-3 days. We can start both the psychiatric evaluation and the ADHD comprehensive assessment virtually. The first part of the ADHD assessment, the psychiatric evaluation, will be done virtually, and then you can come into the office for in-person testing within the next few days. Alternatively, you have the option to complete the entire ADHD comprehensive assessment in one visit to our office.
  • Do you assist with accommodations for school and referral letters?
Yes, we do. At Renewing Mindsets, we assist with accommodations for school, referral letters, and psychiatric evaluation letters for individuals who have been tested with us and meet the diagnosis criteria. We have helped our clients with accommodation letters for exams such as the LSAT for law school, the MCAT for medical school, the NCLEX for nursing school, as well as the NBME and the MBE (Multistate Bar Examination). Additionally, we write accommodation letters for individuals needing workplace accommodations.
  • How Does ADHD testing work?
For individuals seeking clarity on ADHD symptoms, adhd diagnosis, or requiring accommodations, our ADHD Comprehensive Evaluation is recommended and offers a thorough assessment that includes both virtual and in-person psychiatric evaluations, followed by in-person computerized ADHD testing. ADHD Comprehensive Evaluation ($460): Includes psychiatric evaluation with computerized TOVA testing. Evaluations can be conducted virtually and in person. This is essential for those seeking an ADHD diagnosis, accommodation, or treatment planning. Standardized ADHD Testing ($255): The purpose of T.O.V.A. (Test of Variables of Attention) testing is to objectively assess attention-related difficulties, such as those associated with ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). This does not include a diagnosis but is to accompany a previous provider's specific request for diagnostic testing only. Accommodations: To obtain ADHD accommodations, a comprehensive ADHD evaluation is necessary, and we provide accommodation letters for an additional fee of $95.
  • I was previously diagnosed. Will you manage my treatment and medication?
Currently no, we do not manage ongoing treatment and medication for previously diagnosed individuals. Our focus is primarily on conducting ADHD evaluations and ensuring availability for our new patients seeking treatment management.
  • Do you accept insurance?
Hi, thank you for reaching out to Renewing Mindsets. We are an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance for ADHD testing. However, we strive to keep our services affordable, with pricing starting at $95. We accept HSA, FSA, debit, and credit card payments. Additionally, we can create a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. You can view our appointment availability and detailed pricing on our "Schedule an Appointment" section of the website.
